Project Udita

This year’s Menstrual Hygiene Day, V-care partnered with the Integrated Child Development Services Directorate, Madhya Pradesh to expand its pilot project Udita to more than 90,000 Anganwadi centres across the state.

Udita Project was launched last year to create awareness around safe menstrual hygiene management. The programme was active in 39,000 anganwadi centres in three districts of the state. Through the Udita Corners, adolescent girls and women are being apprised of hygiene and proper health management during menstruation. The key focus of the project is to raise awareness of menstrual hygiene management and provide access to sanitary pads.V-care has been supporting the governments’ efforts in the state to provide better facilities to adolescent girls and females for menstrual hygiene management.

V-care is a joint Initiative of Healthy living Development Society (HLDS) and Women & Child Development (WCD) Indore, which had taken in 2011 by establishing sanitary napkin production unit Under SABLA scheme of GOI. As one of the leading community based brand of rural and semi urban region of Madhya Pradesh-INDIA. Our mission is to provide beneficiaries with affordable, hygienic and convenient sanitary napkins. We are strongly committed to deliver good quality napkins to our beneficiaries at their door.

The main objectives of introducing V-care are to promotion of menstruation hygiene education and supply quality sanitary napkins to nonusers. From 2010 onwards

As part of the project Udita expansion,V-care will be supporting the government in the capacity building of the anganwadi workers to disseminate information on safe and healthy menstrual hygiene management.

At present our services into the project UDITA which fully devoted to health and hygiene of adolescent and women. Project mainly states to care about adolescent and women menstruation hygiene by giving them right education of personnel hygiene and quality sanitary napkins from aaganwadies and other remote locations. We are supplying in more than 22 dist of MP.
