This year’s Menstrual Hygiene Day, V-care partnered with the Integrated Child Development Services Directorate, Madhya Pradesh to expand its pilot project Udita to more than 90,000 Anganwadi centres across the state.
Udita Project was launched last year to create awareness around safe menstrual hygiene management. The programme was active in 39,000 anganwadi centres in three districts of the state. Through the Udita Corners, adolescent girls and women are being apprised of hygiene and proper health management during menstruation. The key focus of the project is to raise awareness of menstrual hygiene management and provide access to sanitary pads.V-care has been supporting the governments’ efforts in the state to provide better facilities to adolescent girls and females for menstrual hygiene management.

The main objectives of introducing V-care are to promotion of menstruation hygiene education and supply quality sanitary napkins to nonusers. From 2010 onwards
As part of the project Udita expansion,V-care will be supporting the government in the capacity building of the anganwadi workers to disseminate information on safe and healthy menstrual hygiene management.
